Fredrik Jonsson is currently a Research Fellow in the School of Physics and
Astronomy at the University of Southampton. From April 2005 Dr Jonsson is a
Portfolio Project Leader on Nano-photonics. He was in 1995 awarded an MSc by the
Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in Stockholm, and in the same year he joined
the Institute of Optical Research. In 2000 Dr Jonsson received his PhD from the
Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm, on the doctoral thesis "The Nonlinear
Optics of Magneto-Optic Media". In 2000-2003 Dr Jonsson worked as research
scientist and project manager in the industry. During 2003-2005 Dr Jonsson held
a Research Fellowship at the National Microelectronics Research Centre (Tyndall
Institute) in Cork.
