Tapashree Roy received Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from the Lady Brabourne College, University of Calcutta in 2005. She completed her post- B.Sc. Bachelor of Technology degree in Radio Physics and Electronics from the Institute of Radio Physics and Electronics, University of Calcutta in 2008. Before joining University of Southampton she had been doing research on Left Handed Metamaterials in University of Calcutta until June 2010. Since July 2010 she has joined the Optoelectronics Research Centre, University of Southampton as a PhD student.
