Dr. Kenji Tanaka

Project
Gain Metamaterials

Short CV
Dr. Kenji Tanaka received his Msc (2002) and Ph.D (2004) from the University of Tokyo (Japan) in the field of near-field optics. Since 2004, he has been working for Sony Corporation in Japan, where he has been involved in the research and development of holographic optical data storage technology. In August 2009 he joined the Optoelectronics Research Centre at the University of Southampton as a visiting researcher. His research interests include metamaterials and nanophotonics.
